Basic characteristics

 

Origin: Selection from the hybrid progenies of Agnus and male cultivar plants the English variety Yeoman and breeding material crosslink-cured with Czech and foreign varieties. The variety was named after the Greek earth goddess Gaia, because it is a huge and profitable plant.

Aroma: Cones has a high intensity aroma. Smell is hoppy and spicy.

Brewing use: Gaia is is a bitter variety. „Dual purpose“,  suitable for first and second hopping. Excellent in lager beers.
