During May, temperatures were balanced and slightly below the 30-year average. Raifalls in May was significantly below average, only 70% compared to the long-term average.
2. Spring works and vegetation stage
This year, growers had difficulty securing a sufficient number of staff in connection with the established emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The training of hops thus took place almost until the end of the month. The condition of the hop stands and corresponds whit this season. The height of the hops is from 2 m to 4 m.
3. Health evaluation of hops
Health state of hops is very good. Hop protection was conducted against fungal diseases and animal pests.
