In May temperatures and rainfalls had the similar course as last year. The value of the average temperature was lower than long-term average of 0,5 °C (year 2013 was lower by 0,8 °C).
Rainfalls were rich compared to long-term average (+63,6 mm) as well as the previous year (+70,8 mm).
2. Vegetation stage
The training of hops took place without major problems in all areas. At the end of the month hops reached the height of 2-3 meters and with comparing to the last year is balanced. The state of health of hops is also good, although had to be repeatedly apply treatment against fungal diseases (downy mildew).
